Fortrose Academy £22m Investment – Delivered by Hub North Scotland
Hub North Scotland, the public–private partnership delivering community infrastructure across the north of Scotland, will begin a £22 million invsetment at Fortrose Academy in 2026.
This project forms part of the Highland Council’s £2.1 billion Highland Investment Plan, where Hub North Scotland has been appointed as the delivery partner for a wide range of capital projects. The plan covers schools, community facilities, roads, transport, depots, and offices, aiming to modernise services and create resilient, sustainable communities across the Highlands.
Since its establishment in 2011, Hub North Scotland has successfully delivered over £1 billion of projects, including:

Inverurie Community Campus (Aberdeenshire) – a flagship education and community hub.

Linkwood Primary School (Elgin) – modern, sustainable school facilities.

Healthcare facilities across the Highlands and Islands.

Emergency service buildings for police, fire, and ambulance services.

Alness Community Complex – combining school, leisure, and community facilities.
In Highland they have been appointed to develop:

New schools and refurbishments across Highland Council areas, aligned with the Highland Investment Plan.

Integrated community facilities (“PODs”) being developed under the plan to bring together education, health, and council services in modernised spaces.
With a proven track record in education, healthcare, and community projects, Hub North Scotland continues to play a key role in building modern, sustainable infrastructure for Scotland’s future.
